At Early Discoveries provides childcare with a strong integrated preschool curriculum built right into our daily routine. Our program blends the warmth and consistency of childcare with engaging, play-based early learning that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. Through long blocks of uninterrupted play, hands-on thematic exploration, and developmentally appropriate small-group instruction, children experience the best of both worlds — the social, emotional, and academic foundations they need.
Linda brings over 30 years of experience working with young children and families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies from the University of Washington, a Master’s in Education from Eastern Washington University, and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. She is also a certified teacher in the state of Washington with a focus on early childhood and elementary education.
Throughout her career, she has taught in classrooms, directed programs, mentored fellow educators, and partnered closely with families. Her passion is building a warm and meaningful learning environment where children can grow through play, exploration, and strong relationships.
Early Discoveries reflects her lifelong commitment to high-quality early education and nurturing care—she takes great pride in providing a place where children can learn, grow, and thrive each day.
Early Discoveries uses Brightwheel, an intuitive app designed to enhance communication between our program and families. With this app, parents can receive real-time updates about their children's activities, including photos, videos, and progress reports. The app also allows parents to communicate directly with teachers, share important information, and schedule appointments.
One of the key benefits of Brightwheel is that it fosters family involvement in a child's education. Parents can stay informed about their child's daily routines, such as meals, naps, and playtime, and receive notifications about upcoming events, including special events.
We believe that using Brightwheel will help parents feel more connected to their child's daily experiences, ultimately leading to positive outcomes for the child. When parents are actively engaged in their child's education, they are better equipped to support learning and development at home.
Another major advantage of Brightwheel is that it streamlines our communication processes. Through the app, teachers can efficiently send updates to parents, minimizing the need for phone calls, emails, and paper notes. This saves time for teachers, allowing them to focus more on providing high-quality care and education to the children in their classrooms.

Early Discoveries has combined computer science with early childhood education to develop an innovative approach - a secure video streaming system that parents have access to. Not only does this set the standards for trust and reliability, it helps parents stay connected with their child.

Early Discoveries is set in a Christian atmosphere of warmth, love and self-worth in an education based environment. As a well-established education program, we strive to meet the growth and developmental needs of each child where children are free to explore, learn and discover.

Because we know that strong early learning experiences are critical in laying the foundation for a successful future for every child, we believe that a high-quality education environment is a place for children to learn and grow as they explore, make sense of the world around them and find their place within it. These experiences shape the brains of our little ones that’s why Early Discoveries is committed to fostering children’s development and learning. Therefore, the curriculum is designed to develop the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of young children. Focusing on kindergarten readiness while increasing self-help, language and social skills. Pre-reading, math and reasoning skills are also expanded.

Programs
Early Discoveries has 3 classrooms that are equipped with age appropriate furniture, sinks and bathrooms. Through our teacher-guided approach paired with open-ended process art and play, our educators actively engage children in language, math, science, art, and pre-literacy experiences, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
